Teensy baby things are so fast to knit! The following is a hat for a year-old girl and socks for a two-month-old baby girl. I hope to get another pair of socks finished this weekend (for a two-month-old baby boy) and then I’ll just have one baby thing left.

The hat my also be a bit big (damned stretchy silk-bamboo yarn!) but since it’s lace, I told the father that if it is, he can just thread a ribbon through the lace and tie it in a bow to fit her. That way she’s got room to grow into it and I think it would be really cute.

(The sheep is a souvenir from New Zealand. She is a bungie jumper – hangs upside down from a suction cup and baas when you turn her right side up.)
