dichroic | cats!

Does anyone out there in the Philadelphia area want a couple of youngish (2-3 years) black cats? Or know someone who does? Or know a good way to get the word out?

My brother can’t keep his due to severe allergies in the about-to-be-family. They are all currently living in my parents’ basement – my parents are not cat people. My brother cares for them, but it doesn’t sound like he’s around enough to keep the litter box non-stinky, which has not helped matters. Mom finally issued a (IMO, well-deserved) ultimatum.

There are actually three cats, but one is old and ailing and I think they’ve collectively decided that her time has come. Even Mom says the other two are “kind of nice”. They will all be taken to a no-kill shelter, but I wanted to get the word out and see if there is a chance of a real home. Much as I want cats, I can’t bring them back to this island (rabies-free) nation and my uncertain future.

Anyone? Suggestions?
