dichroic | new jewelry

Posting here because I want to get this stuff up on the web, and my main site's server seems to be down. For the first time in a long while, I spent the morning playing with beads, and here are the results.

Note: two minutes later, the server was back up. But I'll leave this here anyway.

I don't often name jewelry, but this necklace is "Ghosts in Winter". The middle few beads have been linked and sitting around for months, but I just added the extra beads and silverwork to the centerpiece today, not to mention the rest of the necklace. The center bead is dichroic glass, the rest includes glass, opaline glass, an opal chip or two, crystal, and silver. Because clear beads are especially tricky to photograp, I used the good camera and there's one view with flash and one without.

I'll probably keep this - it's too small for most other people anyway, I think - but I don't wear low-cut collars much and like my necklaces to show. I finished off with an earring and pendant set - not sure what all's in here but it's all metal/rock/mineral, not glass. There's silver, a tiny opal chip, and I think the rest is mostly aquamarine.
