If a rusty nail scratched the bottom of my foot but didn't draw blood, I don't need to get a tetanus shot, do I? (I have callused feet.)
Damn thing went right through the bottom of my rubber sandals at rowing this morning, point up. Fortunately it came up near my toes, where when I felt something sharp I could just move my foot a little so my weight wasn't on it.
Oh well. I have a feeling that a) it's not necessary and b) my doctor would say to do it just in case. Am on the phone with them now (which also lets me check if I've had a shot recently enough to still be in effect.
(Wrong. They just said to keep an eye on it and if it 'poofs up' to go to Urgent Care or see them on Monday.)
