Beware! Jo Walton is setting out lures!

Two very short chapters in, and I can already tell that Jo Walton’s What Makes This Book So Great is going to be an expensive book. That has nothing to do with its own cover price, which is about normal for a new release; no, it’s on account of all the other books Jo is going to make me want to buy. At least, if they’re on Kindle (and the first one that I looked up is); I seem to be better able to resist buying physical books, that will make me pay and wait for delivery.

I think I’m going to have to make a rule: anything I see in this book and want will have to be wish-listed (I have a list specifically for Kindle books I don’t want to buy right away, either because I think the price will fall or I’ve been buying too many books). That way I can decided among the full list at the end, instead of being lured to empty out my bank account one book at a time.

Yes! I'm bookmarking all the pieces about books I haven't yet read but now want to. (I bookmarked the original posts for several of them, for the same reason, but now they're all collected in one spot...)
