Second, small personal triumph:

The blanket I’ve been making for my mom, started in April and then put aside during summer’s (relative) heat is done. (Done, I tell you, done done done!) It’s my own Wombat pattern, using Berroco Vintage Chunky. I like this yarn; it’s soft and fuzzy, but it’s a blend so Mom can throw it in the washer, and it’s a beautiful rich purple, prettier in real life than in the photo. I need to take better pictures, but here’s a quick shot of it with the original Wombat blanket I knitted for myself.
