Dear Glenn Beck,

I used Planned Parenthood in my college days and for a couple years after and have contributed to them ever since, out of gratitude. I am not a hooker.

In fact, the access to contraception that they provided is precisely why I had the opportunity to finish my education and have good opportunities for employment available to me. Since my boyfriend of the time was *not* the sort of douchebag who believes that only women have to deal with the consequences of their actions, you could probably say the same for him as well.

Finally, even sex workers deserve access to healthcare. Believe it or not, they are people too – often ones who are doing their best to survive in dire and abusive situations, often ones without a lot of better choices. Do you really want women in those straits being forced to bring up unwanted children? Do you think the fathers of those children would be of any help? I don’t.

P.S. Not that it’s any of your business, but I have never had an abortion. I never had to make that agonizing decision because I’ve never had an unwanted pregnancy at a time I couldn’t handle it. Planned Parenthood is why.
