the imminent arrival of Stuff

Things I am looking forward to, when my stuff arrives Friday:

• I have got oranges, I have got nuts, but I do want a kitchen knife
  That really cuts.



• Being able to erg before work, so getting weekday exercise doesn't entail struggling to get out of work on time, detouring to the boathouse, and barely fitting in dinner before bedtime. (Rowing on the water will still involve all these things, but the payoff is better.)



• A bike, because I can take a much more direct route to the boathouse. And ride to work on nice days (eventually on all days). And keep a folding bike in the trunk when Ted's here so if one of us is stuck working late the other can ride home.
  
  
• All my books - at least, all the ones I didn't leave in storage in the US or don't have on the Kindle. I think I feel most secure with lots of books around.



• More shoes!



• A place to put stuff away in the bathroom, so I don't have to have all my band-aids and soap and Tylenol stuff sitting out.



• More shirts and sweaters!
  
  
• My Wombat blanket, so I can finish knitting it. (Note: I did post the pattern, after some test knitters verified it. You can download it on Ravelry or from here.)



• My knitting books, because if I want to make a Sapporo sweater for Ted for his birthday (end of December - but even so, that's a big "if") I'd better start soon.



• Enough clothes-hangers!



• My popcorn popper, so I can quit burning a pot with batches that don't entirely pop.



• A lettuce crisper, so I can quit wrapping my lettuce in paper towels every time I put it away.



• A small chest of drawers, because keeping underwear on a cabinet shelf behind a door is much more annoying than you'd think it would be.



• A cutting board that doesn't make me worry about leaving splinters in the food.



• My beading tools and bead storage, because those Beads of the Month keep on coming, and I feel even sillier having beads piling up than I do having more necklaces and earrings than I can wear.

So yeah, pretty excited about this (and I get a day off work!) and I'm sure there's still more stuff I've forgotten.
