Yikes. For once I happened to find out about news first from an actual newsfeed, before I read about it on LJ. That was on Yahoo (Reuters and API articles, but it is in the news over here; my officemate's first question this morning was, "Did you hear about the bridge in Minneapolis? But so many of my flist are in the Twin Cities that LJers were the first people I thought of anyway. It looks like most of the people I 'know' are safe, though shaken (that thatnk you all for checking in; it's such a helpless feeling to be worrying from way over here). My thoughts are with you now, and my wishes that the death and injury toll mounts no higher. What an awful thing.
