When getting off the phone with someone who's called to ask me a question or ask me to do something, why do I always thank them?

I really don't understad the orthopedics behind this, but one hip joint's been out of place for a few weeks now. I can't seem to snap it back in. It normally only bothers me when I'm trying to get full entension (like when stretching at the gym) but for some reason it's really annoying me tonight and my whole leg bone is just feeling not right.

It's not the kind of issue to worry about except that it's keeping me awake at the moment. Blah.
