long flight

dichroicIf you have any good thoughts to spare, send 'em out into the desert between Phoenix and San Diego tomorrow. I'll be flying (on instruments) to San Diego and back, for my long instrument cross-country. It's 2.5-3 hours each way, depending on wind. (San Diego is a 5-6 hour drive from here.) At least my instructor
says I don't have to wear a hood (a visor so I can't see outside) the *whole* way.
I'm a nervous pilot anyway, and this trip I'll have to deal with much more crowded airspace (on the San Diego end) than I'm used to. Also, three hours is just a long time to be sitting in a small cockpit, and coming back in the afternoon I expect a good (well, not "good") bit of turbulence.
